“Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.” — Matsuo Basho
Raising children is a guaranty for changes faster than you imagine and an ongoing exploration out of one'scomfort zone. The upcoming Mother loving Acro workshop synchronized with changes in our family setting. The Indian mythology offers three models of mothers - the Tridevi - त्रिदेवी - the three goddesses.
Saraswati the goddess of learning and arts, cultural fulfillment. She is the mother of intelligence, consciousness and knowledge. Her style of motherhood is theknowledgeable, passing down the tradition. Her attribute is water and she is known as the ones that flows.
Lakshmi the goddess of wealth and fertility and material fulfillment. She is the source of prosperity, glory, magnificence, joy, exaltation. She is the source of strength for herdeciples.
Parvati/ Mahakali /Durga the goddess of power, empowerment, spiritual fulfillment. She also depicts the transformative power of Divinity. Her attribute is earth, she is connected to time and change, birth and death.
It doesn't matter if you are mothering kids, a project or just your own life, the different tool and attributes are needed at different times. The one thing that threads through all is our need to be more receptive and a better listener so we can choose the right tool for the right moment. This is the invitation of Yoga.Workshop registration pre registration 30$ at the door 40$
Mother Loving AcroMay
My AcroYoga journey started on Mother's Day. I replaced breakfast in bed for a risky dip into AcroYoga. My biggest fear was that I wasn't strong enough. It has been a journey of softening, learning to realize what I need and to ask for it in a way that will get me support. I replaced my need to “solve it myself” with a cooperation with others that were always there for me.AcroYoga is about communication and dialogue, and so is motherhood. We are not lifting our lives alone. We are part of communities and families, pulling together to lift us up. We are all children of mothers in all manifestations.Honoring the lineage of Mothers, friends and teachers that brought us here.Join us on Mother's Day, May 11th 2:00-4:00pm, to my Acroversary, for 2 hours, as we practice listening and creating better communication through our bodies.Come two generation together and pay just for one (bring your mother, teen or sibling with you)We'll combine some solar, strengthening practices, with some lunar softness and compassionate practices.Om Factory Fashion District.
